Vijay Mallya, also known as the "King of good times", left India in March, 2016 for UK and 17 Indian banks are looking for him to get their money which amounts to a total of staggering Rs 9,000 crores...He basically financed his very lavish and extravagant lifestyle with all the public money he stole from these banks...I am sure that he entertained a lot of very powerful people in EVERY WAY POSSIBLE for him to get the inside information that the noose is tightening and it is now time to leave the country and he left. He is not missing or absconding...He is still living in luxury and was recently seen watching the cricket match between India and Pakistan in Birmingham, UK.
We all know that GOI has filed many cases and investigations are going on...We also know that many people thrive in our country because of their political connections and networking with the right people...I hope that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would take personal interest in this case and make sure that he is extradited back to India to face the law...His massive mandate in 2014 was to make sure that there is zero tolerance for corruption...Our process works better if there is a very strong political will to back it up...Our PM has to send the message that you can run but you can't hide...I am ready to accept a situation where nothing happens to Vijay Mallya if he gets political asylum in Pakistan and they refuse to cooperate with us...

I consider this case a litmus test for our PM in his war against corruption...
