I welcome the decision made by the NDA Government to allow Foreign Direct Investment in Pharmaceutical, Aviation and Defence sectors with a much higher equity participation...The government had last year relaxed FDI norms in about dozen sectors, a move that helped FDI flows to hit an all-time high of $55.46 billion in 2015-16... Foreign direct investment refers to direct investment equity flows in the reporting economy...It is the sum of equity capital, reinvestment of earnings and other capital...Let us hope that this move would be an impetus for International companies to invest heavily in India and would culminate in massive job creation in the country...We live in a global economy and we cannot grow in isolation...I also hope and wish that the Government would concentrate only on the economy and not at all on religion...If people have food in their stomach and money in their pockets, they would vote for that party which made this possible...Exploitation of people becomes a lot easier if they are hungry and poor...May God bless India.!
