Narendra Modi"FREE AT LAST, FREE AT LAST,

THANK GOD ALMIGHTY, WE ARE FREE AT LAST"!

These words of Dr Martin Luther King are apt to describe the political demise of the Congress party. The country got the second independence from foreign misrule on May 16, 2014. The level of panache and gusto among the voters reminded the country of the post-emergency election in 1977. Even though Dr Manmohan Singh was the Prime Minister, his status was that of the de jure PM and it is not a secret that Sonia Gandhi was the de facto PM. I was hoping that the 2014 election results would write the political obituary of the Gandhi dynasty. It almost happened but they still ended up with 44 seats with Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi winning the election. It is like the party is lying on the funeral pyre waiting for the final light.

ModiFriday the 13th, which is considered an unlucky day in Western superstition proved to be a good day for India in September, 2013. The rapists and killers of Amanat were given the death sentence and BJP, led by Rajnath Singh, finally announced the name of Narendra Modi as the party's Prime Ministerial candidate for 2014 Parliamentary elections.

pakistan2It happened once again in Hyderabad on February 21 when two powerful bomb blasts killed 16 people and injured 117. As it has become customary in these kind of situations, Congress party was on the defensive and BJP was blaming the government for their inefficiency. This saga would go on for couple of weeks and the discussion would die down. All the politicians would again get involved in their own political agenda of doing disservice to the country. After couple of months, another terrorist activity would happen and the same routine drama would be enacted again.

advani_sonia_smIt can happen only in India that after scams after scams, UPA government led by the Congress party which is again accused of being involved in the coal scam which is estimated to be in the amount of Rs 1.84 lakh crore which is even bigger than the 2G scam, estimated to be at Rs 1.76 lakh crore, is showing no signs of going away and is pointing their middle finger towards BJP and other opposition parties and more so, towards the public and saying ‘Catch me if you can’.
